A Week In France (8/8)

These pictures were taken when Mark and I drove around northern France during September 2008.

On the way Mark suggested we take a slight detour via Dieppe to Penly to have a look at the nuclear power station there.

We found the visitor centre for the power station but we arrived after its closing time. Perhaps one for a future visit. Unfortunately we couldn't get a view of the power plant from the car park or the road leading there.

However the next day on the ferry leaving Dunkerque we could clearly see the reactor buildings at Gravelines. Place the cursor on the picture for a closer view.

Here is Mark looking happy on the deck of the ferry because he's just eaten and we're far enough from Dunkerque that we can no longer see the power station.

Finally approaching Dover again and our journey home. Those three Porsches down there look very attractive, I wonder if they would be willing to swap one for our car.....

Thank you for looking at our pictures, we hope you have enjoyed them.
