Bird Watching in Speyside (1/7)

Here are some of my photographs taken on a bird watching holiday in Scotland near Aviemore with Speyside Wildlife during February 2002.

Our holiday started with a British Airways flight which took just under two hours from Gatwick to Inverness.

Just outside Inverness airport we were appropriately greeted by this bronze statue of Captain Fresson, the pioneer of civil aviation in the Highlands and Islands.

Whilst having lunch at the airport we saw the EasyJet flight arrive carrying two more members from our bird watching group. The others either came by train or by car.

When we arrived at The Steading, our home for the coming week, we went for a walk and saw this plane accelerating a glider prior to release.

This is one of the many delightful views of the Scottish countryside we enjoyed during the trip. This is a section of the River Feshie not far from The Steading.
