Bird Watching in Speyside (6/7)

Here are some of my photographs taken on a bird watching holiday in Scotland near Aviemore with Speyside Wildlife during February 2002.

One more view across the bay before starting the journey back.

On the way back I just managed to take this photo of young goats from the minibus window.

The morning of our fifth day we concentrated on visiting pine forests near Grantown in the hope of seeing Capercaillie. They are about the size of a turkey and quite shy but eventually we were rewarded with glimpses of them in flight.

I think I'll put some Christmas lights and tinsel on this one!

Friday, our final day, we headed north to Black Isle and the weather was very mixed. Just minutes before the snow and wind had made it almost impossible to see Kessock Bridge. Fortunately we were in a sturdily built bird hide at the time!
