Mammal Watching in Speyside (8/9)

Here are some of my photographs taken on a mammal and bird watching holiday in Scotland near Aviemore with Speyside Wildlife during August 2006.

There was great excitement among the group at seeing the golden eagle, though it was quite distant, and for some it was the best part of the holiday.

After a good walk here we are relaxing in the lounge at the Stedding. A pleasant way to spend the early evening with a bottle of beer and an excellent view from the window.

Some of the birds were surprisingly tame. This common eider was always patiently waiting on the window sill for us and let me pick it up.

On the Saturday this was our last walk of the holiday down by the river Spey a few minutes away from the Stedding. An opportunity to say goodbye to some of the ospreys.

Our final view of the Stedding before we started on our journey home. Place the mouse on the picture to see the robin that came to say goodbye as we packed the car.
