Russian Waterways Cruise (1/7)
These pictures were taken during our cruise along the waterways of Russia from Moscow to Saint Petersburg in July and August 1998.
We flew to Moscow which was the starting point for our cruise along the Russian waterways. First our guides took us on a tour of this city starting with these beautiful gardens.
Mark couldn't resist a swim in the lake there.
Next stop was Red Square where we had time to look around the famous department stores in GUM.
It was Mark's first visit to Russia so here was the compulsory picture of him outside St Basil's Cathedral with its beautiful columns.
And just before continuing the tour a panoramic shot with St Basil's in the centre, the Kremlin on the left and GUM on the right.
