A Week in Sardinia (2/7)
These pictures were taken while touring the north half of the island of Sardinia in November 2005.
The path through the Grotto has been well prepared for visitors, though here the concrete had been laid around the natural rock formation.
This very large stalagmite shaped like a helmet has taken a long time to form.
Mark back near the entrance.
This is a view of the staircase on the return from Neptune's Grotto.
Here I am standing in front of Castelsardo, a small hill town on the north coast of Sardinia.
