A Week In Wales (1/7)

These pictures were taken when I spent a week in Pembrokeshire with Mark and my mother during September 2002.

We rented this cottage for the week on the coast near to Whitesands Bay.

The scenery surrounding the cottage was beautiful in all directions. This is the view from the front over towards the right where Carn Llidi can be seen in the distance.

I took my mother to the Llangloffan cheese factory to see cheese being made. The owner is explaining the process in his own entertaining style.

Here the cheese curd is being pressed into containers to produce the traditional round cheese shape. Pressure is then applied to compress the curd into a hard cheese.

When released from the containers the cheeses are stored on these shelves and allowed to mature.
